About the Editors
Martin Williams has served as a lecturer in New Testament and Greek at the Reformed Theological College, Melbourne, Australia, since 2012. Previously he taught New Testament at the Faculty of Theology in Cameroon, West Africa, and ministered as a pastor in the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand. Martin is married to Joy, and together they are raising their three children—Jonathan, Sarah, and Hannah.
Joy Williams, originally a Korean missionary, has devoted her life to serving across Africa and Asia, blending her nursing expertise with a passion for gospel-centered ministry. Her work in countries such as Thailand, India, Bangladesh, and the Philippines cultivated a deep commitment to cross-cultural service and care for the vulnerable. She later studied theology at Laidlaw College in New Zealand and now mentors women at the Reformed Theological College in Australia.
About the Illustrator
Paul Cox has worked full-time as an illustrator since 2009 providing character designs, storyboards, and marketing comic strips to various businesses throughout his career. He is the creator of RefToons (www.reftoons.com), a comic strip that combines comics with theology by illustrating quotes from theologians of the past. He and his wife, Stephanie, live in southern Wisconsin with their four children—Donovan, Bailey, McKenna, and Harper, and a few noisy chickens.

I studied Calvin in school and this is a very good initiation to his thoughts as a Reformer. Several of my children have read the first book and I believe that they are looking forward to future installments!
This was a wonderful introduction to Calvin for my 9 year old son. He loved it so much that he read it in 2 days and just asked me to order the next book in the series.
I so thoroughly enjoyed the illustrated Calvin's Institutes from RefToons! It's a wonderfully engaging book that makes you really think about deeply theological concepts. And it's great for so many different levels of understanding. Each chapter has questions and further considerations, so that it really helps to dig deeper into the rich truths of Scripture. (I liked it so much I bought it as Christmas gifts for the family. Everyone should have a copy!)
