This is where our adventure gets really exciting! Calvin is about to show us how God reveals himself most clearly-through his Word, the Bible.
Think about it like this: God revealed his power through creation, but then he gave us something even better so we could actually know him personally. Imagine squinting at everything because you can't see clearly. Then you put on glasses, and everything suddenly comes into focus. The Bible is our pair of glasses.
Creation is amazing, but it's like a teacher who can only point at things without explaining them. In the Bible, God actually speaks directly to us, telling us his name, his promises, and his plan to rescue us.
Are you ready to dive into Scripture with Calvin and discover the most incredible treasure of all-truly knowing God through his Word?
Get ready to explore:
- Why we need Scripture: We'll see why the Bible is absolutely essential. Only Scripture can fix our confused ideas and give us real, saving knowledge of God.
- How God speaks through the Bible: We'll discover that God's Word isn't just an ancient book gathering dust-it's alive, powerful, and completely trustworthy. It's our only reliable guide to knowing what God is actually like.
- The Bible's authority: Is Scripture just another human book, or is there something special about it? Calvin explains that the Bible's authority comes straight from God and the Holy Spirit helps us recognize this truth.
- Scripture as our guide: We'll learn how the Bible works like a flashlight in darkness, showing us the way forward when everything else is confusing.
Ready for the Adventure?
Here's the bottom line: God hasn't left us guessing. He gave us creation to point us toward him, and he gave us his Word to show us exactly who he is and how we can know him.
So, are you ready to dive into Scripture with Calvin and discover the most incredible treasure of all-truly knowing God through his Word?
Let's do this!

John Calvin's Illustrated Institutes:...
I loved this first volume, and the second comes through! I'm an ordained PCA minister, and I love this. Boiling Calvin's Institutes down into a comic book is a work of art in its own right. But I didn't buy it for myself. I bought this hoping my 10-year-old daughter would enjoy and learn from it. It did not disappoint. In fact, even my 5-year-old son (who can't read) loves it. He thinks the illustrations are hilarious. Indeed, the artwork is fun enough to grab the attention of the youngest of my house, my 2-year-old daughter (who also can't read, just so we're clear). All my kids are now trying to draw John Calvin. Five stars!
There was some confusion with the tracking number provided by the mailing service. Paul took time to reach out personally to help find the issue and he ensured the package was received. Also, we loved the first book, the family is looking forward to reading book 2.
Outstanding adaptation of Calvin‘s Institutes. Artwork is always top-notch and the ship time was super fast! Reftooms is the best!
I love this book! I got extra copies to give to each of my children and to a family at church! I WILL buy more! This is too great to pass up!
The second book in Calvin's Illustrated Institutes arrived this week and it did not disappoint. My 12 year old has read it cover to cover twice already, and has been eager to tell me what he learned. What an excellent resource!
